HF 2380 (House education reform bill) has been assigned to the Senate Appropriations Committee, chaired by Dvorsky (D-Johnson). This bill has not been assigned to a subcommittee, as far as I can tell.
SF 2284 (Senate education reform bill, formerly known as SSB 3171) has also been assigned to the Senate Appropriations Committee. This bill has been assigned to a subcommittee: Schoenjahn (D-Fayette), Boettger (R-Shelby), Dvorsky (D-Johnson), Hogg (D-Linn), and Kettering (R-Sac).
My understanding is that assignment to the Appropriations Committee “funnel-proofs” these bills, so that they can be voted on at any time during the remainder of the legislative session.
