RiShawn Biddle has named Iowa a state to watch for education reform in 2013.
He is predicting teacher evaluations tied to student test scores will pass in the Iowa Senate. He is also predicting a push by Governor Branstad to reform both the charter school law and school funding to eliminate allowable growth.
I think he underestimates what Senator Gronstal can do with a slim majority in the Iowa Senate and I am surprised to see charter school reform on the list since the discussion in recent months seems to be focused on the teacher career pathway/pay proposal.
Any predictions for education legislation in the upcoming session?
